Wearing colors
Once upon a time I believed all the fashion and style guides that said chubby girls looked best in black because it’s slimming. And we all know that slim = beautiful and worthwhile. Lies. Lies that I bought in to for far too many years. My wardrobe used to make it look like I was in mourning. Or goth. While I still have trouble accepting my body as is, I’ve learned that my value doesn’t actually come from where I land on society’s acceptable body scale. It takes years to unlearn all the the thought patterns. They so much deeper than we think. It’s a process, but I’m getting there. Now I wear as much color as I like. Published via Pressgram
